While reading a back issue of ORION magazine, I came across an article called, "50 SIMPLE WAYS TO GET OFF -- If you are in love with the world, fall in love with trying to save it." After our 20 minutes of trash collecting my friend Anita said that it was harder to do this than she thought it would be. She mentioned that her quads hurt, although I usually find it's my back that takes the tweak of it all, but she also said, "It must be hard to enjoy walking along the beach if you did this enough."And I thought about how I was happy that it was cloudy this week. It meant that not as many people would be out on the beach. That meant less trash streaming into the ocean. When I realized what I was thinking it made me a little bit sad.
