OK - Can you say GREEN WASHING?!?!

Turning plastic back into crude is being toted by such environmental groups as Surfrider and GOOD magazine as a solution to our oil dependence. I am highly suspicious. Can you imagine the energy intensive process to get solid plastics back to crude oil? What are the carbon emissions of such a procedure? And that's just for starters....What about other toxic emissions?
